This recovery took place on saturday april 22nd, 2006. This a/c crashed during operation Market Garden, september 1944. September 19, 1944 is the most likely date for this crash. The pilot baled out and told bystanders that it was his second crash. Identification of this a/c will be difficult due to the fact that during the 1950's large a/c parts, including the tail section were recovered but the identification is in progress.
